A New Season
As the summer season comes to a close, the TETAF Advocacy team will focus heavily on the TETAF Legislative Priorities ahead of the 89th Legislative Session that begins on January 14. In the coming months, TETAF/Texas Perinatal Services will look to many of you to help advocate in your regions and to join our TETAF Legislative Work Group.
While the TETAF Advocacy team will primarily place its focus on advocating for a statewide perinatal database, we also monitor hundreds of bills throughout the legislative session. Many of these bills may have a maternal or neonatal focus and we greatly appreciate the stakeholder support and feedback as we advocate for, or sometimes against if the legislation is not positive, these bills. We welcome your input as we discuss legislation and will share ways you can advocate in your own region. TETAF/Texas Perinatal Services provides a variety of resources to make this a simple process for you. I hope you will consider joining our Legislative Work Group when we share those details soon.
I am always humbled by the work that all that you do to care for mothers and newborns in Texas. Thank you for your dedication!
All the best,
Dinah

If you are one of the hospitals that surveys with us, I encourage you to join our group in Mighty Networks and join the sessions I offer to help you with your survey.
As always, please reach out to me or Jorge Castañon if you have any questions about an upcoming survey. We are always glad to help!
