A New Season
A new season is upon us in many ways. Fall is here and at TETAF that means it is a season of opportunities. For anyone seeking contact hours, we will once again offer continuing education during our Texas Quality Care Forum this month. It is also time to seek nominations for the TETAF Board of Directors. Our organization has been fortunate through the years with so many exceptional leaders giving their time and expertise to our organization. If you or someone you know would be a great addition to our board, more details regarding nominating are below. I look forward to seeing new leaders join our board.
January will not only bring new faces to our board, but it is also the start of a new legislative session. The TETAF Advocacy Committee is meeting more frequently and preparing its strategies. This summer, the TETAF Board approved the TETAF Legislative Priorities which are used as a guide of the top priorities TETAF will focus on during the session.
As I have attended some of our maternal and neonatal surveys recently, I am reminded yet again of the tremendous dedication all of you have to providing quality care for our mothers and babies in Texas. Thank you for all you do!
All the best,
Dinah

Happy fall to all of you! Last month, Jorge Castañon and I had the opportunity to attend the 40th Annual National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) conference in Orlando. It was an excellent learning opportunity. If you are able to attend next year's conference, it will be September 9-12, 2025 in Palm Springs, California.
I am all for any opportunity to learn something new, especially when continuing education is offered. This month's Texas Quality Care Forum is a great opportunity and I invite all of you to join us on October 16. More details are below.
As always, please reach out to me or Jorge if you have any questions. We are always glad to help!
